Chapter One:

The man was in his dreams again…He would be standing a few feet away, looking as if he was watching over him. he wanted to talk to him, ask him why, but whenever he would be looking for him, he would always be gone, which would meant it was the end of the dream.

And then he would wake, frustrated and grumpy. Spending the rest of the day trying to remember his dream and why he wanted to remember.

But tonight's dream seemed different somehow, it felt as if he wouldn't be disappointed this time, as he looked around the usual bar that was often the location of his dreams, he looked around, knowing he was around here somewhere.

There.

He smiled, seeing the man enter the area and lean by he bar, his eyes roaming around as if looking for something—someone---him. Their eyes met for the very first time.

He felt himself gasp when his dark brown orbs met golden brown. It was hypnotizing…as if those deep eyes could see straight into his soul. He couldn't fight the blush that instantly coloured his cheeks.

"It's impolite to stare with your mouth open" a low, baritone voice suddenly spoke next to his ear, nearly making him jump.

He turned to find the man he had been staring at across the room a few seconds ago standing right next to him…what the hell?

"You seriously need to close that" the smirk coming from the now obviously taller man was so unnerving at the same time charming was making his heart beat out of the proper rhythm for some reason "or…"  he lowered his face slightly. "Is that an invitation for me to kiss you?"

His blush deepened as he fixed him a glare…what the hell? "Who do you think you are!?" he muttered angrily.

But instead of faltering, the man's smirk broadened "The man you've been trying to meet all this time?" he said cheekily.

He spluttered "W-What?" How did he know that? Oh yeah, this was just his dream! Why was h getting so worked up over his own dream?

To his surprise, the man chuckled "This may be just a dream, but I certainly am real…"

Leaving him confused and gaping at him "W-What does that mean?"

"That means you'll be meeting me real soon…"

"You're just a dream, and a-as if I'll want to meet you!" he said indignantly.

"Weren't you trying to do so for a while now?"

He was speechless…what the hell was with this anyway? He scoffed and pouted, stupid dream!

"Or maybe I should do it here, hmnn?" his eyes widened as he found the man's arms around his waist suddenly, invading his personal space more than the likeable distance. He gasped as his scent started to invade hi nostrils, instinctively making his knees buckle in weakness, lucky he was leaning against him for support…heat spread across his face at once, and he tried to push him away.

"W-What do you think you're doing? L-Let go…"

"Why? This position is rather comfortable isn't it?"  Oh God, that smirk.

"P-Pervert" he breathed, trying to keep his anger.

"I may be, but aren't you liking this, Sungmin-ah?"

He blushed even harder, mentally groaning at his own reaction. The man had just said his name and he was already acting like some hormonal teenager. Yuck.

"Sungmin-ah…"

His face felt like it was ready to burst into flames, seriously, what was wrong with him? This wasn't like him at all…

"Sungmin…"

"SUNGMIN"

With a gasp, Sungmin bolted upright, wide awake. He sighed when he realized he was just in his room, on his bed alone, wearing his favorite pink pajamas. Relief washed over him,…although he couldn't remember the dream again.

"LEE SUNGMIN!"

The raven haired boy froze, his eyes darting to the door where a pissed looking Heechul was glaring at him.

"WHAT THE HELL?" Heechul's voice seemed to be echoing around his small room. "What are you still doing lying in bed?! We're going to be fucking late! Up! Up! NOW!"

A little confused and disoriented, Sungmin tried to say it was still early, but he gaped upon seeing the actual time on the clock at the center of the room. "Omo! It's already this late?!" he gasped, shooting immediately out of bed.

"If you're not downstairs in 10 minutes I am leaving without you" the diva said flatly before turning around to go downstairs.

Knowing perfectly that Heechul meant what he said Sungmin moved even faster "Yah! Heechul hyung! Don't leave without me!" he called out, deciding to just leave his bed unmade.

And so, exactly 9 minutes and 48 seconds later, Sungmin bounded down the stairs, a comb stuck in his hair as he was hastily buttoning his jacket sleeve vest and pulling up his black socks at the same time.

While Heechul was watching him amusedly from behind his cereal bowl, he waited for the other to sit down properly and dress himself before commenting. "Finally, I was just about to leave"

Sungmin pouted "I arrived on time you know" he said with a huff, as he combed his hair without looking at a mirror. "Besides, aren't you the one who's always late?"

"You arrived on the nick of time" the other corrected him "besides, I'm early now, aren't I?" the year older boy crossed his arms.

"Why? Is Siwon coming to your room again?" he asked, remembering that the only reason why Heechul exerts himself to go early was when he knew he would have the chance to meet Siwon Choi, the president of the student council. "What did you do this time?"

At which Heechul glared at him "For your information I have done absolutely nothing wrong. Well, this time anyway" his eyes twinkled "But it is for a fact that Wonnie will be going to our room today"

Sungmin's eyebrows furrowed "And why's that?"

"There's going to be a transfer student in my class" he snorted "And of course it's part of Wonnie's job to bring him in and check up on him from time to time. Which means my opportunity to get close to him!" he said confidently.

"And you very well know Siwon is straight" Sungmin pointed out.

"Straight...hah!" Heechul leered "Maybe…but" he said, air of narcissism about him at full force "Once he takes a good look at this" he gestured to himself "He'll be as straight as a circle!"

He chuckled "If you say so hyung"

"Are you doubting that, Lee Sungmin?"

"What? No. Of course not!" Ming said as Heechul's eyes narrowed again "I do believe you"

The boy scoffed "You'd better, because I'm definitely making him mine. And that new better not be a distraction to me"

"You haven't even seen him yet"

"I don't care. Wonnie is mine, so he'd better not be making any moves" Heechul said decidedly, making Sungmin shrug as the two of them stood up to go on their way.

Hankyung found himself frowning, feeling a bit funny at the back of his throat, it was a bit itchy and he got the feeling of wanting to sneeze, of course that would be physically impossible for someone like him, in human terms it was that feeling you get when someone talks about you, although he didn't know what to make of that.

Beside him Kyuhyun noticed the look on his face "What is it, Hankyung hyung?"

The older shook his head "Nothing. Just…" he paused, glancing at how the both of them looked "Wondering  what came over your mind to actually agree into doing this" he said.

Kyuhyun merely shrugged "What? It gave me a reason to go out"

"But going to a human school? Studying wasn't really your thing"

"That's because I don't need to study"

"Exactly why I don't see the point"

The vampire made a soft impatient noise "So what? This gets the council and Association out of our hairs for a while, Besides, aren't they th ones who suggested this in the first place?"

Hankyung grinned "I think they weren't expecting we would agree"

"Not my friend. They'll be sending men from the hunter's end too right?"

The wine eyed vampire shrugged "most probably"

"Don't care as long as they know their boundaries" he gritted out. Kyuhyun never really had a good history with hunters, so he just avoided them to prevent any bloodshed.

"So you're really sure about this?"

"Yah! Haven't I told you enough times? Geez, sometimes you're beginning to sound like Leeteuk hyung" he rolled his eyes.

"And him?"

The vampire prince froze at that, unsure of what he would say. He tried to looked unconcerned "What about him?"

"Is he the reason?"

He glared at him "Stop asking stupid questions hyung"

"Are you planning on telling him---"

"No" Kyuhyun said instantly "I don't"

"But you do realize---"

"Hankyung hyung" he said annoyed. By this time they were already inside the school premises where Kyuhyun's school building would be on the left and Hankyung's on the right "This is where we part ways and hey! What the hell"

Hankyung had ruffled his hair "What was that!" he growled, nearly making his eyes reveal their real color.

The other looked at him calmly "Technically we are acting like humans, and since I'm your older brother I get to do that" he explained.

"By only a mere 2 decades!" the younger protested "And I'm not a kid!"

"Human rules" Hankyung said with a small smile "And if anyone asks, your age should read as 17, okay?"

"Fine, fine…but don't do that again" he muttered, starting to walk to his so called school building. He scoffed. Schools. Really, what was it with humans and their ways of living. He watched as Hankyung made his way towards his building, looking perfectly happy with this. Well that was no surprise, the vampire loved Humans after all, in fact he should be the one most happy about this. Him, on the other hand, only agreed to this because---

Kyuhyun's thoughts was interrupted when something—someone suddenly bumped into him. He remained standing, while the other was sent sprawling, his bag and the books he carried scattered about because of the rather strong-enough-for-a-human contact.

"I—I'm sorry" he heard the person squeak, making his eyes widen slightly in recognition as he watched him pick up his things. Remembering one of those so called basic human rules he bent down to help him.

"You alright?" he asked him.

"Y-Yes, I-I'm fine" he stuttered, putting everything inside his pink backpack "S-Sorry about that…I…I wasn't looking and---"

"Clearly" he said, giving him his math book to put away as well "Otherwise you would have seen me blocking the way…or maybe you did it on purpose" he smirked.

A small blush formed in those cheeks as his lips made a small pout "I said sorry didn't I? And why would I do that? Besides, you shouldn't even be just standing on the path when its already…" he gasped, glancing at his wristwatch "Omo! It's this late! I'm so dead!!" he zipped up his bag hurriedly and began running up the path again.

Leaving the vampire staring after him, confused.

"If you're not going to run, you'll be late too!" the man called out, sparing him one last glance before fully concentrating on running.

Kyuhyun crossed his arms as he stared, as if he was seriously going to run, running was for humans, he smirked to himself as he decided to go on his way.

"I'll see you in class then, Sungmin"

Sungmin spent the rest of the way scolding himself, how could he have not seen that there was someone in the way. he made a mental note that if he ever saw that boy again he would apologize.

His tummy gave a funny twist at the thought. He may have only seen him for a few seconds but there was something about him he couldn't explain. Although he never saw him around before, maybe he was the new kid Heechul was talking about? But if he was he was certainly on the wrong way…maybe he should check…?

He dismissed his thoughts as he approached the classroom, he could already hear his professor talking in front…damn. He exerted himself a bit more and opened the door swiftly "Sorry I'm late professor! I was—" he trailed off as soon as he saw who was beside the teacher in front of the class.

It was that guy from earlier!!

"W-What…H-How" he found himself stuttering, refusing to believe his eyes. he never saw th man ran past him on the way here!

Almost as if he could read his mind, the man met his eyes and smirked, making Sungmin's face colour, what the hell, he returned the gaze with a glare.

The old English instructor fixed him a disapproving look but nodded "Come in Sungmin-sshi, but don't let it happen again" he said sternly as Sungmin bowed slightly and made his way to his seat near the back of the room quietly.

"Oppa. It's rare for you to be late, are you okay?" he heard Sunny ask beside him, he smiled gently at her and nodded.

"I'm fine, thank you for your concern Sunny-sshi"

She giggled "Just Sunny oppa, How many times do I have to tell you that?"

"Right, forgive me Sunny-ah" he flashed a bright smile, making her blush at once.

"That's okay, oppa"

Back in front, Kyuhyun's superior hearing could hear everything going on in the room, particularly at the back. That girl was flirting with Sungmin and he was flirting right back! He gritted his teeth and reminded himself he was in a room of ordinary humans. He needed to control himself before he does anything out of hand.

He turned to the professor "May I sit down now?" he said

"Yes, yes of course go ahead and choose where you want to sit down" the man said and he made his way.

needless to say why, he chose a seat next to Sungmin (on Sunny's other side), surprising the boy slightly, and ignoring the rest of the gazes he got from the room.

He smirked widened as he again looked gazes with the boy "hey" he said "What do you know? Were in the same class after all!"

He saw the faint blush that spread across those perfect cheeks and chuckled mentally, so he still has that effect on him then. He watched as Sungmin composed himself to nod at him

"Y-yeah.."

he would've kept on talking but the teacher had already started talking and Sungmin had turned to concentrate on the lesson. He shrugged and stared ahead, resisting the urge to scoff, he was way done with this lesson.

Then a mischievous idea sparked in his mind as he pretended to drop his book near Sungmin and bent down to pick it.

"Hey, do you believe in love at first sight?" he asked him causally, purposely acting as if he couldn't reach the book so he could bend forward more.

His question clearly caught the other in surprise. The blush on his cheeks more visible now as he spluttered "W-What? I, uh,, No" he made out, refusing to meet him in the eyes.

"Hmnn" Kyuhyun nodded, taking the answer into consideration, instead he smiled and met those gentle brown eyes, "then maybe I should walk by you again?"
